Eames are seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our market-leading Broking & Underwriting team in London. This is an associate-level position with extensive support and training provided.
The Broking & Underwriting team has 5 consultants with over 25 years’ combined tenure at Eames, all ranging in seniority and background. The team has an autonomous style of working and specialises in each of their chosen markets. In this role you would gain exposure to working across hiring for multiple lines of business, ranging from energy insurers who focus on oil, gas and renewables all the way through to private equity houses looking for financial risk cover.
The team is led by a hands-on and well-respected partner who has experience in hiring consultants from varying backgrounds and developing them into market specialists. The team can offer the following:

What will you be doing?
As an Associate Consultant you will be responsible for interviewing and qualifying candidates allowing you to develop an extensive network across the Broking and Underwriting markets. These individuals could be graduates looking to enter the market, qualified corporate solicitors looking to change industry or current brokers and underwriters. Over a six month period you will take part in our formal induction scheme run by our in-house training team which will provide you with a solid grounding in recruitment processes and practices.
There will be a technical element to the role where you would be expected to develop detailed market maps highlighting senior figureheads across the London Market, outlining their reputation and expertise.
After six months, the aim will be to transition into a 360 role by developing client contact skills; during that time we’ll invest in training you on business development techniques as well as continuing your education on managing candidates. With numerous prestigious accounts in place, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a number of assignments and hone your skills.
A bit about you
Ideally degree educated OR School leaver who may have decided not to go to university with experience working in a commercial/sales environment
Excellent communication skills; able to build positive and productive relationships with people at all levels of ability
A team player with a competitive nature
Excellent organisation and time management abilities; able to plan and organise working day efficiently and, in time, independently
Willing to work hard until tasks are completed to a high standard
Work experience/internships in insurance, finance, law or a related sector advantageous but not essential
